We always loved you even if we didn’t show it
We never imagined you dying so soon
You did not give us any warning
But even if you did
We don’t know if it would have changed anything.
Your death was a surprise and you left a lot of questions unanswered
Like your kids and the rest of your family, like me
No one could read your mind to see what you saw
And no one will ever know now.
Little drops of rain, whispers of the pain,
I hope you were watching that day
When my siblings and I gathered around your casket
To see you lying there cold faced with the look of happiness on your face
We were all there to show you that we cared a lot about you
No matter how much you think we didn't .
With the kind of life you lived
We know that you’re happy now with your reward,
Although we did not have the chance to say good bye
Know that in our hearts, we are proud that you were an uncle
And we'll miss you.
